Biography

Gianni Baha (1993) is a Trinidadian-born Canadian filmmaker and musician. He received a BA in Film Studies from Western University and studied further at SciencesPo. Paris and European Film College in Denmark. Baha lives and works in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

He was an Artist in Residence at the renowned FABRICA in Northern Italy, where he contributed to the legendary Colors Magazine under the creative direction of Oliviero Toscani.

While an Artist in Residence at the experimental Nieuw en Meer in Amsterdam, he worked at the infamous ad agency KesselsKramer and has collaborated with artist Erik Kessels on numerous projects.

As a musician, Baha has released his debut album of original music, Petty Crimes, self-described as his first film without visuals. Baha is currently playing a limited engagement tour to promote the album.

As a filmmaker, he’s written and directed a number of short films, with his latest, I Love You, I Love You, receiving an Official Premiere from Short of the Week, and is currently in development to be a feature film.
